Spring 2025 Commencement Details
The Spring 2025 Commencement ceremonies will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 at the Denver Coliseum (4600 N Humboldt St). Additional ceremony details will be updated here as they become available. Please check back here frequently to see the most up-to date information.
Morning Ceremony | 9:30 a.m.

Afternoon Ceremony | 2:30 p.m.
- College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences
- School of Education
- School of Hospitality
The Morning Ceremony will last approximately two hours and 30 minutes, and the Afternoon Ceremony will last approximately two hours. Graduates should arrive 1 hour 30 minutes prior to the start of their ceremony: 8 a.m. for the morning ceremony, and 1 p.m. for the afternoon ceremony. Both ceremonies will be hosted at the Denver Coliseum located at 4600 N Humboldt St, Denver, CO 80216. The ceremony will consist of an address from President Davidson, speeches from a keynote and student speaker, and most importantly, your moment to walk across the stage.
The ceremony will be livestreamed to the Commencement homepage for guests who are unable to attend in person. Family and friends are not required to register in advance, and they are not required to have tickets. There is no limit on the number of guests each graduate can bring. Doors will open at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., and seating is first come, first served.
RSVP for Commencement Through Tassel
Every graduate must RSVP to Commencement through the Commencement Team’s ceremony vendor, Tassel. Each eligible should receive an email from [email protected], which will prompt the graduate to RSVP with their preferred name and correct contact information for the big day. Through Tassel, each graduate will also receive a StagePass which acts as the name card read on stage at the Commencement ceremony.
StagePass Required: Each graduate will need to have their StagePass on their phone or printed out on the day of the ceremony in order to have their name read correctly as they walk across the stage.
The deadline to RSVP and to make any StagePass changes is Wednesday, April 23 at 11:59 p.m. MT. If the graduate is not attending the ceremony, they should still RSVP “no”.
For Graduation: Please note, RSVP to Commencement is only for ceremony participation. The application to graduate and official degree conferral are handled separately through the Graduation team in the Registrar’s Office. Each eligible graduate will receive separate communications regarding your degree status from the Graduation team.
Purchase Regalia
Regalia is the cap and gown you are required to wear during the ceremony. You must order your regalia through Herff Jones.
Primary regalia ordering deadline: Friday, March 14 at 9:59 p.m.
If you miss the primary ordering deadline, a secondary regalia ordering (rush home-ship only) window will open the next day with a deadline of: Friday, April 4 at 9:59 p.m.
All home ship orders that are placed by the March 14 deadline, should be received on or before Monday, April 14. All other orders should be picked up at Cap and Gown Pick-Up on Tuesday, April 22 or Wednesday, April 23 between 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at St. Cajetan’s on the Auraria Campus.
If you miss the above deadlines, regalia will also be available for purchase on the day of the ceremony. Additional regalia information is available on the Regalia webpage. You can find more information about academic honors and applicable cords here.
If you picked up your order on campus or received your order on site at the ceremony: You are responsible for returning your gown (and hood – if master’s or doctoral grad) to Herff Jones within 1 week following the ceremony. You may ship your rental items back using any carrier so long as you are provided tracking. Please retain the tracking number you receive for your records.
